With its most recent Galaxy Buds 3 series, Samsung has eschewed the term “stems” in favor of a new, blade-like form. With these blades, you can swipe up or down to change the volume and pinch to control playback. The enhancements are completed with a range of AI functions and new cases.

“Blade Lights” on the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro elevate style. Along the edge of the bud, this programmable light strip offers a hint of customization.

The more expensive Galaxy Buds 3 Pro are more powerful in terms of sound quality. Large 6.1 mm planar tweeters and 10.5 mm dynamic drivers are featured in their 2-way speakers, which also have two amplifiers for improved sound quality. For even fuller sounds, the enhanced SSC codec can now accommodate twice the sample rate.

The Pro model has Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) to reduce background noise, which is to be anticipated for a high-end bud. While “Siren Detect” and “Voice Detect” automatically let in ambient sound when needed, ANC helps suppress unwanted noise.

The use of machine learning in the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro elevates the quality of calls. Even in busy environments, this ingenious device can evaluate and enhance the sound of incoming voices during calls. It enhances the clarity of the audio by removing background noise from the opposite end of the connection.

Another feature that improves call quality is “Super-Wideband.” Because of this, the Buds can broadcast audio at a frequency of 16 kHz, which is twice as high as typical Bluetooth earphones. Put another way, during calls, your voice will seem more genuine and deeper.

The new casings for the Buds 3 and Pro allow you to look inside. The casing has the same 515 mAh capacity, therefore the battery life is comparable. With ANC enabled, the Pro buds have a tiny advantage over other models at 53 mAh apiece, allowing for 6 hours of listening and a total of 26 hours with the case (or 7 hours/30 hours without ANC).

The less expensive alternative for your pocketbook is the Galaxy Buds 3. With their 11 mm drivers, they have a more straightforward look and come equipped with customizable noise cancellation and ambient sound technology. Although they won’t be able to filter out as much noise as the canal-style Buds 3 Pro, their open shape makes them comfortable for extended listening sessions.

Thanks to their somewhat smaller 48mAh batteries in each bud, the Buds 3 provide 5 hours of listening with ANC on and 24 hours overall with the case (or 6 hours/30 hours without ANC).
