What’s lacking from the top class in the Samsung A7 2018?
The Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) features a fingerprint sensor on the side, under the power button, an almost borderless AMOLED display, a triple camera setup, and artificial intelligence. Even if Samsung labels it “middle class,” something is still lacking at the top.
“New viewpoints on mid-range smartphones” The new Samsung Galaxy A7 2018 is expected to hit the market at the end of September, retailing for between 45,000 to 59,000 PKR. It features a triple camera configuration and a fingerprint sensor that is embedded into the power button. Furthermore, it features an AI system, an IP68-certified water and dust resistance, and a frameless AMOLED display. We’ll examine the features that a premium smartphone should have.
What Is the Galaxy A7 2018 Capable of?
Let’s quickly review the Galaxy A7 (2018)’s features:
- Processor: Samsung does not specify the model, although it is a 64-bit Octa-Core (2.2 GHz + 1.6 GHz).

- Memory: 64 GB (upgradable to 512 GB) / 4 GB RAM (a version with 128 GB of memory and 6 GB of RAM ought to be available as well).

The specifications sound excellent for a mid-range smartphone. especially if the whole cost is kept within 46,000 rupees. 64 GB of memory and 4 GB of RAM are less noticeable for the mid-range category; Wi-Fi connections and Hot Spot are supported; the AMOLED display is standard on Samsung devices but neatly blends into the Full HD+ screen. It seems sensible that the Power button’s fingerprint sensor incorporates face unlocking capabilities as well as a few attractive AI features for better pictures.
What is the limit of the Galaxy A7 (2018)?
A closer look reveals a few shortcomings. For instance, a contemporary smartphone could undoubtedly handle Android 9.0 (rather than 8.0). Unfortunately, Samsung has not yet disclosed whether or not the cameras sync. The Huawei P20 Pro’s triple cameras with a lossless 3x zoom were one of its most compelling features. We’ll soon find out if the Galaxy A7 (2018) has that or not.
Furthermore, Samsung withheld information regarding the Galaxy A7 (2018)’s chipset. There are rumors that it might be a Snapdragon 845, the top-tier model available right now. However, that would be a selling point, which is why I would much rather choose a slower chipset.
Additionally, Samsung has made connection savings. It appears to be USB-C, not Micro-USB 2.0, at this point. There is no mention of using wireless charging to replenish the large 3.300 mAh battery. Not from Samsung directly, but according to reports, the camera system can only record in 2K resolution—not 4K. LTE, too? Though it is mentioned, how quickly? We still haven’t seen.
