There was a trend toward ever-slimmer phones in the past, but it eventually faded. People have grown used to the fact that most modern phones in our pockets are now 8 mm thick on average because we prioritized larger screens and greater functionality over all other features. But the Infinix Hot 50 Pro Plus appears to be going back in time.
The Vivo X5 Max from 2014 may give way to the Hot 50 Pro Plus as the thinnest smartphone on the horizon. Furthermore, a full-screen AMOLED phone with only 6.8mm of thickness is probably a record-breaker.
Some teasers are circulating on the internet claiming that the new flagship phone from Infinix is a Helio G100 5-year fluency-certified phone by TUV and that its 6.8mm design makes it the slimmest phone in the world. On top of it, they even placed a Gorilla Glass.
This AMOLED 120Hz display is curved on both sides, which is a frequent feature for Infinix these days. Forgiveness be told—Infinix is quite daring to have included AMOLED screens in some of their entry-level phones.
The teaser also reveals that the Infinix Hot 50 Pro Plus has a fingerprint ID on the front panel and at least 8 GB + 256 GB of storage—16 GB if virtual memory is taken into account. This teaser left out all additional information, however it does hint that the Philippines will be the place of its premiere.
