After much anticipation, numerous leaks, and news reports, the much-awaited announcement is finally here: the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is now officially available in the US and select international locations. Preorders are currently available, and the first sale—at least at the locations where it’s announced—will take place on October 3.

Though we can’t imagine it’s a major deal, it’s Exynos 2400e everywhere this time. Usually, we see a Snapdragon variant of it in China and the US. Although they did lower the clock rates, perhaps because of temperature constraints, this chip is the same one utilized in the S24 or S24 Plus.

This vapor cooling system is 10% larger than the S23 FE’s, which is an upgrade from Samsung’s original design. This was a wise move, as the glass/aluminum slab is prone to overheating. In addition, we must factor in a 200mAh larger battery for a total 4700mAh cell, which allows for 25W wired and 15W Qi wireless charging.

The 6.7″ AMOLED 2x screen of the Samsung 5G new mobile phone even has an improved Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection, but it’s not LTPO. This version of the screen will have even slimmer bezels and a 120Hz 1080p resolution, giving you HDR10+ and roughly 1900 nits of brightness under direct sunlight.

The megapixel count from the S23 FE to the S24 FE hasn’t changed at all, and the previous configuration of 50 MP + 12 MP (ultrawide) + 8 MP telephoto + 10 MP (selfie) has been carried over to this iteration as well, so perhaps the sensor types are superior.

It comes from the manufacturer with Android 14 right now, but they guaranteed 7 years of OS support, so you should be good till 2031. Indeed, this phone has Galaxy AI along with all the other associated AI features found in other Samsung flagships. Its base price is reportedly $650 (~PKR 180,000).
