Another clamshell gadget enters the murky world of foldable phones. It is a less expensive Huawei item from the Nova line. plus their first with the new branding. It is referred to as the “Huawei Nova Flip.” These are the features it debuted with and are available in China.
Buyers have a choice between two finishes. Customers have two options: either go with the Glass finish, which comes with a little bit more bulk at 15.12 mm, or purchase the 15.08 mm plain leather version. They will also weigh 195 or 199 grams, depending on the situation. Its color choices are Sakura Pink, Starry Black, Zero White, and New Green.
One tall one is Nova Flip. and comparable to the Huawei Pocket 2. On the front is a folding 6.94″ OLED LTPO (1-120Hz) panel. With a high pixel count of 2690 x 1136 (a little higher than FHD+ resolution), it is sharp. Then, for less flicker, there is high-frequency PWM dimming at 1440Hz and brightness up to 1200 nits.
A 32 MP selfie camera resides in that hole in the screen. There are now two peepers and a screen in an extended protrusion when you slap the Nova Flip shut. Huawei’s next folding phone has a 2.15″ OLED 60Hz cover screen on the back. Additionally, they install an 8 MP ultrawide lens next to the 50 MP primary lens.
However, enough about the superficial details. It’s also attractive and powerful beneath the surface. Here, Harmony OS 4.2 is installed by default. The Kirin 8000 CPU ensures seamless operation, while the 12 GB RAM can help with various activities.
Starter storage for Nova Flip is 256GB. And it can accommodate up to 1TB. Nova Flip’s 4,400mAh battery provides more than enough power. And with 66W input, it charges quickly. The 12/256GB Huawei Nova Flip is the least expensive model, costing 5,288 Yuan (~PKR 204,000). The official pricing of the 12/1TB option is 6,488 Yuan (~PKR 251,000).
