We have been waiting a long time for this news, but leakers have already reduced the range of specs that the Galaxy A16 4G and 5G might have. Although there hasn’t been an official announcement and won’t be until December, the pricing was inadvertently disclosed by a European retailer.
In addition to being sold in 4G configurations, the A16 will also be offered in 5G variants in Europe, with at least 128GB of storage on the lower-end models. For some reason, both appear pricey this time around. It can be that Samsung raised its MSRP or that costs in Europe are generally higher than in the US.
According to this leak, Samsung’s Galaxy A16 4G (128GB) will likely retail for about €210; translating that price into our local currency would place it at about PKR 64,000. The A16 5G price tag is even more exaggerated at roughly €240, or over PKR 74,000 in Pakistani rupees.
These are merely the costs for base-level 6GB + 128 GB A16s, and they will rise considerably more when you purchase an 8 GB model. However, there is a bright side to this. A comprehensive leak on the subject revealed marketing materials for Samsung’s most recent low-cost phone to have six years of operating system and six years of security upgrades.
The Galaxy A16 4G and 5G are 6.7″ sAMOLED phones with a refresh rate of 90Hz and a resolution of 1080p, according to the same leak. The Exynos 1440 or the Dimensity 6300+ version will contain the A16 5G, and both should have an IP54 rating.
