The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 is now available in Pakistan, where the Galaxy Z Flip 6 was previously released. It has now been formally introduced to the local market. And right now, stores are stocking it on their shelves. In terms of appearance alone, this one is a complete upgrade over the previous model.

First of all, it’s not just an improved version of an earlier build—it’s a completely new build. The Z Fold 6 has more pointed corners and is boxy. The boxy redesign not only made it blend in nicely with the S Ultra throng, but it also improved its aspect ratio. You won’t mind using the phone through the external AMOLED screen alone because the cover screen is now greatly extended.

Speaking of the external AMOLED, we found out that the Z Fold 6 has the best in class 6.3″ 2X AMOLED 1-120Hz 2600 nits panel—but it’s a secondary screen. It is FHD+, sure. The inner AMOLED 2x panel aims for an even higher resolution (1856 x 2160 pixels), but the technology remains the same: Gorilla Glass Victus 2, Dynamic LTPO 120Hz, and 2600nits.

Because this is a power-user phone, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3—the best SoC for Android—is driving the show. A 12 GB RAM helps, and in Pakistan, Samsung’s most recent foldable phone has 512 GB of RAM. It’s astounding that 7 years of OS support is promised. There is no way to improve upon this.

However, there are concessions made in terms of power. It can only take 25W from the power to recharge the 4400mAh battery. One of the reasons for its 239g weight and 12.1mm folded thickness is its small cell packing. On the bright side, it managed to achieve an impressive 3x 10 MP telephoto on the rear with minimal protrusion.

Its remaining photographic capacity is compensated for by a 50 MP primary camera, 12 MP ultrawide, 4 MP inner selfie, and a 10 MP outer selfie unit. The price of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 in Pakistan is high, as we have always assumed. After converting those USD 1,899 to PKR, you’re looking at around 530k. However, the official price in Pakistan is Rs 605,000/-tax included.
